arete Australia would like to congratulate our team on the successful delivery of the Monash University B28 G65 Clean Labs project!
In collaboration with Monash University and Wood Architects, work on this ambitious project began in mid-2021, aiming to construct an ISO4 Class clean room, an extraordinary feat rarely seen in Australia, let alone attempting two such clean rooms in one project.
This highly specialised facility required arete to combine traditional construction techniques with bespoke methods, including full HDPE joinery, non-metallic raised laminar flow access flooring, Class 5 wall finishes, and epoxy-coated flooring and paint finishes. Meeting the stringent ISO4 classification involved intricate service installations, demanding meticulous attention to detail from the entire team.
Despite the challenges of working in a fully operational university environment, the project was completed successfully, resulting in a cutting-edge research facility that stands as a testament to innovation and teamwork. arete is proud to have played a part in delivering this world-class space for Monash University’s research community.
