Building on the successful completion of earlier preparatory works, arete Australia was engaged by Austin Health to deliver the second stage of the Angiography Department upgrade and expansion at the Heidelberg campus. This critical redevelopment supports Austin Health’s essential cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment services.
The project involved the demolition of existing X-Ray and in-patient waiting areas to accommodate the construction of new Angiography, X-Ray, and sterile store rooms. Additionally, two existing Angiography rooms underwent a full refurbishment to provide state-of-the-art facilities that meet the highest standards of patient care.
Throughout the construction, arete Australia implemented stringent safety and infection control measures, including effective management of noise, dust, vibration, and enhanced cleaning protocols. Close collaboration with Austin Health, along with consultants ClarkeHopkinsClarke, a2m Consulting, John Mullen and Partners, LCI Consultants, and Singh Consulting, ensured a thorough risk management approach, clear communication, and minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations.
