In December 2020, arete Australia was engaged to deliver a cutting-edge waste and biosolid transformation research facility at RMIT University’s Bundoora campus. The project involved the 340m² refurbishment of Building 211, creating a state-of-the-art environment for research and innovation.
Works included the demolition of existing services and finishes, installation of new services, and the construction of specialist equipment housing areas, safety features such as eye wash stations and showers, laboratory and office spaces, as well as a consolidated sorting and storage area for nearby stakeholders.
Completed in June 2021, the new facility empowers RMIT University to advance its research in waste and biosolid transformation, supporting ongoing environmental initiatives and contributing to scientific progress.
